Foundational Protein Bioactives

Complete Protein

Foundational Protein combines NZ organic grass-fed whey with collagen peptides to provide all essential and non-essential amino acids. Whey delivers a complete protein profile naturally rich in leucine, while collagen adds high levels of glycine, proline and hydroxyproline to support muscle, collagen-rich tissues and daily protein needs.

Type I, II and III Collagen Peptides

Foundational Protein brings together multiple collagen sources to support the body’s structural tissues. Type I and Type III collagen come from grass-fed collagen peptides, while Type II collagen comes from bovine cartilage. Together, they support collagen-rich areas of the body including skin, joints, tendons, ligaments, bone and connective tissue.

Chondroitin Sulphate

Chondroitin sulphate is a naturally occurring compound found in cartilage. It forms part of the cartilage matrix and helps support joint comfort, mobility, cushioning and connective tissue health. Foundational Protein includes bovine cartilage as a natural source of chondroitin sulphate.

Osteocalcin

Osteocalcin is a naturally occurring non-collagen protein found in bone. It plays an important role in the bone matrix and helps separate real bone-derived nutrition from standard calcium supplements or ordinary protein powders. Alongside calcium, phosphorus, collagen and trace minerals, osteocalcin contributes to the formula’s bone-supportive profile.

Calcium and Phosphorous

Calcium and phosphorus are two of the primary minerals found in healthy bone. Foundational Protein contains these minerals from NZ grass-fed bone matrix, providing them in a natural bone-derived ratio alongside collagen, trace minerals and other bone matrix compounds to support bone strength, mineral density and healthy bone structure.

Trace Minerals

Foundational Protein contains a broad spectrum of naturally occurring minerals from bone matrix, including calcium, phosphorus and 27 trace minerals. These minerals are part of the natural composition of bone and help make this formula more than just a source of protein.

Growth Factors (IGF-I, IGF-II, TGF-β, TGF-β1)

Foundational Protein contains naturally occurring growth factors from its bone and cartilage ingredients, including IGF-I, IGF-II and members of the TGF-β family. These bioactive compounds are naturally present in bone and cartilage tissue and contribute to the formula’s unique structural nutrition profile.

Cartilage Derived Growth Factor

Cartilage Derived Growth Factor, or CDGF, is a naturally occurring bioactive found in bovine cartilage. Alongside type II collagen and chondroitin sulphate, it helps make cartilage one of the most unique ingredients in Foundational Protein’s joint and connective tissue support profile.

Glycosamine

Glycosaminoglycans are naturally occurring compounds found in connective tissue, cartilage and bone matrix. They help form part of the body’s structural framework and support joint, cartilage and connective tissue health.

Hydroxyproline, Glycine & Proline.

Hydroxyproline, glycine and proline are key amino acids found in collagen. They are especially important for collagen-rich tissues such as skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage and bone. These amino acids help support skin hydration, elasticity, firmness and the structural integrity of connective tissue.

Bone Marrow-Derived Nutrients.

Bone marrow is a traditional whole-animal food rich in marrow-derived nutrients and lipids. Foundational Protein includes freeze-dried bone marrow powder to bring a deeper level of animal-based nutrition beyond ordinary whey or collagen protein.

Lactoferrin

Lactoferrin is a naturally occurring protein found in milk and whey. It is part of whey’s broader bioactive protein fraction and contributes to the nutrient complexity of grass-fed whey protein concentrate, alongside complete protein, amino acids and other naturally occurring whey compounds.

Ingredients Sourced Exclusively From Australian and New Zealand Grass-fed and Pasture Raised Cows

Organic, Grass-fed and Finished Whey Protein Concentrate

Our whey protein concentrate is sourced from New Zealand organic, grass-fed and pasture-raised dairy cows. Naturally rich in essential amino acids, including leucine, whey provides the complete protein foundation of this formula.

It supports lean muscle, recovery and daily protein needs, while assisting with body composition and keeping you fuller for longer.

Grass-fed and Pasture Raised Collagen Peptides:

Our collagen peptides are sourced from grass-fed and pasture-raised cattle from Australia and New Zealand. Collagen provides the key amino acids glycine, proline and hydroxyproline, which help support collagen rich tissues throughout the body.

They help support skin hydration, elasticity and firmness, while also supporting tendons, joints, ligaments, bones and connective tissue from within.

Grass-fed and pasture raised Bone Matrix, Marrow and Cartilage

Foundational Protein goes beyond just whey and collagen by including bone matrix, bone marrow and bovine cartilage. All sourced from grass-fed and pasture raised Australian and New Zealand cattle.

Bone matrix provides naturally occurring calcium, phosphorus, growth factors, trace minerals, osteocalcin and bone proteins. Bone marrow contributes traditional whole-animal nutrients, while bovine cartilage provides Type II collagen, chondroitin sulphate, glycosaminoglycans and cartilage-derived bioactives.

Together, these ingredients create a whole-animal inspired protein designed to support the structures that hold you together.
